Repeated notifications on Android

Quiet the repeat pings without muting the app forever.

A busy chat or noisy service can send several alerts in a short burst even when the first notification already told you what you needed to know.

Start with the app default

Use Immediate when the app normally deserves real-time delivery, Digest when most of its alerts can wait, or Block when you intentionally do not need its notifications.

Use Quiet Repeats for the narrower problem

Pingfold's Quiet Repeats behavior is an Exception for a repeated-alert case. It lets the first matching notification through, then moves later matching notifications into Digest during one fixed window. It is not a global automation language and it does not require turning the entire app off.

Keep the rule narrow

Review the Exception before saving it. A narrow condition is easier to trust than a broad rule that could catch unrelated alerts. Pingfold records local structural history so you can later inspect what behavior handled a notification.

When Digest is the better answer

If the problem is not a short burst but an app that is noisy all day, move the app to Digest instead. Quiet Repeats is for repetition; Digest is for batching lower-priority notifications into scheduled review windows.
